Blacksad was published for the first time in October 2000. Since then, its Spanish designer Juanjo Guarnido (born in Grenada in 1967) has acquired great notoriety in the comics world. By joining the Madrid Comics Studio, Guarnido met the scriptwriter Juan Diaz Canales, and they became friends. Then the incredible Comic Blacksad was born.
